Help the new guy with text cutting

I want to pocket out the area around some text. But when I try to create the tool paths, the sharp corners on the text cause it to fail.
The Create fillets tool will not work on any of the corners that are not square. I know there must be a way to convert the text to not have sharp inside corners, or to tell the toolpath to ignore tight corners but I cant find it.

What software? Partworks should calculate clearance appropriate to the selected bit if you place a vector box (or other shape) around the text, select both text and box, and do an area clear
