HSD Fan when does it turn on

I have a new PRS standard w a 2.25 spindle. When does the fan cycle on? There is 24v at the connector.

I just got a new PRS standard with a 4HP spindle. I wired it directly to a power supply that was installed in the control box. It turns on whenever you turn on the control box

I believe it should come on and stay on as soon as the control box is turned on. That is what mine does.

Update- The polarity was reversed on the cable. All better now.
