My shop CPU died this week. :-(

Since this machine only controls my PRT (my design work is done on my office machine), I am looking for an economical replacement.

Is anyone using an Intel Celeron processor to run their PRT?

If yes, then:
1) What speed Celeron works well?
2) Does it work with the ShopBot WINDOWS software (3.1.11)?
3) Does it work with PartWizard?
4) Anything else I should know/consider?

Thanks,
Charles

Charles,

I'm running a 566 Celeron and 256 RAM on my "shop" computer. I have V3.1.7 and run it in the preview mode. I don't have PartWizurd. I run the machine in DOS.

Build a dust cabinet.

An update for closure:

Due to the lack of response of anyone running their PRT using Windows with a Celeron, I took the safer route and ordered a Pentium 4. It arrived this afternoon and is already in service controlling my PRT.

Thanks for reading.
