Using Windows ME & Autosketch files are converted to Sbt OK. Preview page seems fine but then size of profile increases up to full size of table in cut mode - seems like someone told it to "fit to page"!!!
NB - we are newbies at this

Andy, have you tried to draw a simple square, then make the .sbp file, and then read the .sbp file with Notepad? Reading your .sbp file with a text editor (like Notepad) will tell you if the correct values are in it.
Then check if your SB is correctly set for milimeters or inches. A millimeter sbp file loaded onto an inch SB will expand everything 25.4 times.

Thanks,
I have tried squares, rectangles & circles etc but to no avail. If I move along the bed 500mm by measuring it out with a tape the screen on the PC tells me it has moved 389.25mm.
We are all set to mm both in Shopbot & the files we create/save. Any Ideas!

Sounds like a "Unit Value" problem at this stage.
This is where you set the "gear-ratio's" of your SB in the software. Should be correct straight out of the factory, but it can get knocked out when installing new software, and your SB needs re-calibration.
Search your documentation, and this Forum for "Unit Values".

This (http://www.talkshopbot.com/forum/messages/7/220.html) is a good thread to confuse you on the subject of VU-settings.

Thanks Gerald,
Sorted out the gear ratios with a couple of easy phone calls to Shopbot.
