Has anyone experienced this.As soon as I shut the power off to the servo motors my 5hp Columbo drops to the table. My bot is still newish and it just started doing this. The first time was with the probe installed.Do I need a heavier spring?
Brian
Yes.
Springs are supposed to keep up with the weight of the spindle/router, no more, no less.
Get in touch with SB support.
Until, gently lower the $pindle down or put a foam block under.

Or drill a big hole in a block of wood and put the bit or probe through the hole, so the spindle is resting on the block and the block is resting on the table, not on the bit.
As Paco says, heavier springs will solve it.

Brian,
I have a 3hp Coloumbo and when I shut the power off the router also drops but only about 1 inch. You always have to remember to zero your z before started again.
