My x and y limit switchs are not working but have been. checked wiring and seems ok. In vn the no 3 is set to std switch. I have an 96 alpha.Any suggestions?

I set the switch to limit and still no response.

Do the lights on the switches come on when they run over the nuts or if a metal object is placed below them.
If the switches are just stuck/glued into place and not screwed into place, they can move.

No red lights on the switch. switchs are glued and bolted.

I would check inside your box or contact shopbot as it looks like an electrical fault.

The red LEDs on the proximity sensors are independant of the control box - that is, as long as they have +5VDC and GND connections, they will light up when their targets are within 2mm of a hunk of metal. If the LEDs don't light up, I'm guessing that you have a loose connection to either the +5VDC or the GND connection on the controller board.
