OK, Found another weird one. This is a small section of a cut file that I was running today. I've isolated the offending move and set the z height to 1", so I could aircut and see if it still did it. During this move, the motors start jouncing and vibrating, even without cutting anything.
Any ideas?? I'm sending the file to tech support as well. I've modified a few of my ramping values per Brady's article, but I reset back to default and get the same jittering.
Mike Richards - Can you try running this, I think I'm running the same setup as you. PRT-Alpha, 3:1 belt drive boxes, 25T pinions, 1000 step per rev, UV 3055.7749
I get these weird moves from time to time, I attribute them to math errors in the control software. Sometimes on diagonal cuts, instead of jittering, I get a situation where the motors speed up and slow down a few times along the cut, like it's confused on how to ramp the motor speed.
