Loosing movement on X axis

I having a problem where I am loosing movement on the axis, like the calibration is off or something. Set on point 0,0 and move or jog to 12,0 and physical movement is only 11.75. I check carriage and table for square and also checked carriage for binding.

Any thoughts out there?

Two possibilities come to mind. Have the Unit Values changed? Is the pinion gear loose on the stepper motor?

unit values where set back to default and pinion gear tight

Are you using the latest software? There was a problem with count errors in one of the previous Windows versions. But it only occured under certain conditions and seemed to be specific to that one particular update.
