Z plate wiring

I added a hsd spindle recently I thought everything was working. Now the z plate input light on screen comes on when I touch the clamp to the bit it worked fine before with a pc router. Whats going on? I'm wired right according to the book. I get an error message when I try to run c2.

Does it look like "Z-Contact did not clear for some reason. Exiting."? If so, the circuit is already closed (as if it's touching the Z plate already). Re-check the circuit.

I reversed the wires in the control box and it works.
