Z axis memory loss

my shopbot loses its Z axis memory intermittently. will cut fine, and then will drive into the table. Saw a post from Rick Milne on Unit Values being unequal. will check that. Any other suggestions? Thanks

Limit your Z/plunge move speed to 1 inch per second (the 2nd parameter of your MS value in your .SBP ->> MS,3,1)

Limit your jog speed on the Z to 2.5 IPS. Just type in JS & change the 2nd parameter (for the Z) to 2.5
