PRT - jog issues

[Beginner guy (Unregistered Guest)]

Hello Folks,
I just got my PRT running yesterday. I adjusted the VU values to work with the regular PRT gears. The problem is that all my move (M) commands work fine. MX 5 will move the X carriage exactly 5". However, my jog feature doesn't work correctly. JX 5 moves the carriage very slowly about 1/2 an inch. My move and jog spees are both set to 2in/s for X/Y and 1in/s for Z. Any ideas what's happening? "Beginner Guy"...What version of the Shopbot control software are you running? DOS or Windows?

If this is a brand new machine that you just purchased from Shopbot, you should contact them directly via e-mail or telephone. Tech support does not always monitor the forum.

That’s a tough one.
Check that your XY jog ramp speed isn’t way out of whack.
Try setting it the same as the XY move ramp speed with VR.

The first thing I would do is reload the "load46" program (or whatever the control box software is for the Windows version if you are using that). Since both axes are doing the same thing, it is probably not a driver problem.

If you can, copy the screen from the UV command and post it here.
