Air Cooled "Mister"

We have a regular wet mister (purchased with the shopbot originally). The problem now is that we switched from a pvc spoilboard to a wood spoilboard. Needless to say, water and wood tends to warp making for adventurous cutting. Shopbot recommends an air cooled method. They use and swear up and down that it's just as effective if not moreso than the wet method. My question is this: Does anyone else use this air cooled method for cutting 1/4" aluminum, for instance? Do you recommend it versus using the wet method for which we'll just have to switch our spoilboard to something more stable when wet.

I us the air cooled, I try some of the other way that I was told about on here but didn’t get as nice of cut. I cut a lot of aluminum in fact most of the thing I make are made from aluminum. I had one that I used on a big manual mill and I bring it over and us it one the shopbot now, I going out this week and buy an other air cool just for the shopbot. There kind high $300 + the one I got 10 yr ago was only $150

Great, that's what I was hoping to hear. Now I have to get in touch with the guys at shopbot to get the name of the one they recommend again. I've looked at it quite a few times but have lost the link they gave me.

I have used a model 610 Cold Air Gun for years. They are not cheap and you better have a good size air compressor to keep up. Need to use a filter/regulator for sure.
