I have sb3 on my computer so I can run sims on the programs I write and see the visual result.

I hadn't run it for a while and I get "Run-time error '429': ActiveX component can't create object."

I uninstalled/reinstalled sb3 to no avail.

From what I can ascertain, this may have to do with either the Windows Scripting Engine or the Microsoft Data Access Component layer being corrupt/mismatched. I did recently install MS Access 2000 and I am suspicious of that.

Any guidance (as in "We don't use WSE." or "We don't use MDAC")?

Thanks!

Followup: Fixed by reinstalling the Windows Scripting Engine.

WindowsXP-Windows2000-Script56-KB917344-x86-enu.exe

In case anyone else ever has that problem. Just google the above file name and there are several download sites.
