Does any one know of any other tracing programs other than coreldraw?

Doesn't Enroute include a raster to vector utility? Pretty expensive way to go but if you can use the whole program...

Scan2Cad is a fairly inexpensive program which works well. You can download a free demo.

Just type in scan2cad on your browser and you should be able to find it.

Wintopo is great in the Pro version. They have a free one too but i can't get that to work for squat for most projects. The Wintopo Pro is amazing but is about $250.

I just ran across a pretty interesting file conversion program.It's called "Xnview". It claims to support over 360 file formats, and best of all, it's FREE...! (Never can tell when you'll need to convert an Atari Doodle file into a QRT Ray Tracer file...).
You can get all the info at;

For those Shopbotters who don't already know about us, we digitize patterns and tracings that are too big for your scanner, and deliver DXF files by email.
We're also prototyping a new "economy" version of our big 2D digitizers. We expect a 5 x 10 foot,5 x 12 foot, or 4 x 8 foot machine to sell around $5500.--(bring your own table). (Software is included to output DXF files.) I know--it's still high for Shopbotters, but maybe it will help some shops who have a lot of digitizing to do, like boat builders and counter fitters--solid surface, stone, or laminate types. Our current models are around $12000.00 for a 5 x 12 without a table, so this is a significant price break. Photos should be on our web site in a few weeks.
