I have been using MeshCAM with my MaxNC milling machine for a short period of time. Seems to work fine, and the price is perfect (free).

I'm the author of MeshCAM. After the first time I got linked here I added a post processor for ShopBot. If you try the program please let me know how it works for you. Based on the large number of referals from this forum I'd like to make sure that there are no problems since ShopBot machines take a different type of input than a regular milling machine.

Am hearing good things about Meshcam (http://www.grzsoftware.com/). Does anyone think it is a waste of $100?

(Apparently it is now happy to do "slices" of tall models as well.)

Anyone been using this program more lately. How is it working. Is the cutviewer worth getting as well.

Meshcam works fine. Only good surprises, no bad experiences. An amazingly capable program for $100. Didn't know about "cutviewer (http://www.cutviewer.com/)" till you mentioned it.
