Maybe a problem that lots of people already solved :
am using Alphacam to export "standart" Gcode, that I want to convert into Shopbot code.
Seems to handle everything OK exept the G3 command .
Example :
Here is my original :
N110 G3 X8.685 Y82.395 R12.5 F9600
The output in Shopbot code is :
CC, 0, T, -1, 90, 151.646
This line generates and ERROR message when I try to run it.
I am surprised by the "90". actually, all G3 command seem to be translated in something starting at 90 event if the arcs vary. The F9600 is handled OK on the previous line.
Maybe this problem has already been resolved in the forum. Where ?
Thank you for your help

Olivier,
It looks like the AlphaCam postprocessor that you are using is exporting G-code arcs with a Radius value instead of I and J values. Try changing your G-code postprocessor or settings to use IJ arcs instead of R arcs.

I am a brand new Shopbot owner. Just learning Vector and AutoCad. I'm thinking about purchasing "ImageCarve" program. Is anybody out there using "ImageCarve"? Does it work well on the Shopbot?
Thanks,
Dave

I own a precision fab shop (job shop)with three CNC Turret Punch Presses,We normally run anything from 26Ga to 1/4" Mild Steel on our punches,Our volume of work in the 7ga and 1/4" inch range has been increasing but not to the point to justify the expense of a laser,We would like to get some of this work off of our punches and we are considering the shopbot,I have a few questions I would like to have answered before purchasing a shopbot (#1) Can I purchase a High Definition power supply that is compatible with the shopbot and what price range would the power supply be in?,We would like to be able to cut up to 1/2" Mild Steel plate if required.(#2)We currently use Teksoft ProCAD/CAM Package to draw and toolfit our parts for our turrets it has a built in post processor which generates the G-Code according to the Machine Controller being used we would like to be able to use our on software and download the program into the Shopbot for conversion if required. Is this possible and if not what would you suggest as the best option without using another software to draw our parts in.
