Need Copy machine help

Can the default direction that copy machine moves be changed? Right now it probes along the x-axis. I need it to probe along the y-axis first.

At the moment there isn't a way to do it in the Copy Machine but I'll look into what's involved in adding it...it shouldn't be too tough.
