This comes under the heading of "Well Duhh!"

We have been having a problem with our depth. I mounted a dial indicator on the Z carriage and it is always within .001 of where it should be.

Finally figured out that we had never set the thickness of our Z Zero plate when we installed the new software.

Hi Everyone.
Is there a setting on SB3 that turns OFF the creation of a text report? I find these extra files are irritating and largely unnessesary.

Hey Simon,

Yep. Type VD...[V]alues [D]isplay if you would rather click on the menu... and turn off "Write Part File Logs".

The latest Prtalpha ver 3.2.16 appears to require updating of the firmware. I tried it without and the Z axis only moved up. Installing firmware corrected it.
