Pardon my newbie-ness, but I have a question about tool paths in PW. I drew some simple shapes the other day in learning how to use PW, and thought that I had connected all of the vector pieces to make 1 whole connected shape (grouped them). When I ran the toolpath process in PW, I told it I wanted an 'outside' tool path. what it generated was an outside tool path on one part of the shape, and an inside tool path on another part of the shape. The jog from inside to outside was made where individual segments had been joined. What step am I missing here?

Thanks,

Matt

PS, I have no such problems generating tool paths when I import DXF's from my CAD system into PW.

You probably need the vector(s) to be closed rather grouped... or reverse some of the vectors that create the main one...

you must join the parts together. to do this click on the first part, hold the shift key down and then klick on the second item, the join button will then come on, click on the join button. now they will be one part. Do this for each joint. when done, if the close button is still lit you will need to push it to close the vectors.Now you can group the vectors. your tool path should now work.

Sorry, I made an error;
