Is it possible and if so what software do I need to convert a text file from microsoft word or word pad to a shopbot file?
Stephen,
assuming the code is correctly written, you need to save it as .TXT first to remove any formating then rename the file with the SBP extension.
Another way would be to select and copy your code (from whatever word processor) then to paste it in the SB Editor then save it with the appropriate name you want. The extension will be the right one from SB Editor unless you change it on purpose.
The idea is to not have any text formating and the SBP file extension. That's it! If for any reason you don't like SB Editor, use Note Pad (or such TXT based editor) instead of Word Pad or any advanced word processor.

If you are trying to use windows for this, you'll need to set your options such that extensions show in the filename so you can edit them through the rename menu.
