I am thinking about buying a ShopBot. I just upgraded my Cabnetware Detailer to version 8.2. Is this going to be able to talk to my ShopBot or will I have to switch to eCab or some other program?

I am not 100% sure about this, but I think you will have to add a machining or NC module to most design suites. These vary in price, your Cabnetware dealer can give you pricing. The majority of NC modules have output for a ShopBot, but you should check to be sure.

I have KCD.I upgraded to their One Button program
to go from drawing to CNC machining
(NOT CHEAP!)when I got my Bot.
As Gary mentions,find out what the cost will be to upgrade.It may be worth going with ecabinets and the Shopbot link.
I love KCD-its fast and easy,but would have gone with ecabinets,if it was available.

BTW GO for the Shopbot-You will not regret it!
