(So here I am with another question. You can tell I'm really working on this.)

Will TurboCadCam produce a file my Shopbot can cut?
If so, will it allow me to import from a cabinet design program, like Auto Cabinets, and go directly to cutting?

Thanks
Terry

Sorry, forgot this. What input do you have on the program "Cabinet Pro".

Thanks Again
Terry

Terry,
Have you checked with Ryan Patterson and Pat Fulghum. They both have written cabinet software that runs on the Shopbot. Don't forget that Shopbot also sells an excellent software product that would allow you to do everything that the Shopbot is capable of doing.

Thank you Mike. I have and use Ryan's program and he is doing an excellent job. Thanks again to Ryan! However, I have to have a picture for the customer. Also, I am trying to automate all the re-entry I have to do now. So I am looking for a program that can accomplish all of my steps - a time saver I need. Thus I am asking for input. This forum is a goldmine.
I talked to Shopbot about their cabinet software. They use KCDw and Artcam Insignia. 12,000.00. I talked to a salseman at KCDw and he answered every question I asked - and not a word more. (He must not work on commision) Plus it seemed that the ability to move such things as partitions and shelves seemed to be really limited. And the shop drawings seemed to be very limited too. (KCDw takes up 8000.00 of the 12,000.00.) But hey, the guy was cheerful! The last time I talked to them I had a simular experience. I'm not saying they aren't a good program, they just don't inspire me to drop 12 grand.

So, that's why I'm pokeing around looking at other options. KCDw may be the way to go, but not till I feel better about them.

So, that said, any suggestions?

Terry
