I found this a while back and have used it several times to cut lettering for some sign shops, and it is fast and easy to use. It is a free True Type Font to Vector Converter that allows you to save G-Code or DXF files, available here

Give it a try.

Brian, a small correction to the link, it should have no www. in it (strange but true).

Brian I use this program myself. It can draw text in an arc, and includes a stroke or centerline font, similar to the two that come with Vector. It's very simple to use, and in case anyone missed it ... FREE ...

I tried generating some text on an arc and saved it as a DXF file. The default depth is .5, but in the DXF file there were only positive z values, up to about .5.

I tried changing the depth to a negative number but it wouldn't accept it.

VOILA great program for free. ko

Keith,

I realize I can use Vector (or similar program) to do what you said. I'm just surprised that I have to.

But I really like the fact that I can use any true type font with it.
