I have e-cabinets which puts out a cutlist for cabinets. I want to be able to cut the parts out on the Bot when I get it. (I'm planning the purchase very soon and so am trying to get things together.) Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go from what e-cabinets puts out to a cut file? What program would work? Would I have to make a "library" of basic parts and try to position them on a "sheet" of plywood after re-sizing them? What are ya'll doin? (Yeah, I'm from Texas)
Thank's in advance.

E-Cabinets is proprietary software for therwood tools. There is no output for Shopbot. It creates its own code for therwood tools.
You may be able to find someone who could create a converter for you that would convert thermwoods code to NC code, or if it does nesting and can output nesting than maybe you could cut and paste that into another program?
I even contacted Thermwood to see if I paid them would they offer a ShopBot post procesor and they said no.

Kerrazy,
I was afraid of that. I was thinking of contacting Thermwood too but I guess that's a dead end. So, does anyone have a way to convert what e-cab does put out to some usable form? Does it put out anything to xcell and if so can that be used?

Thanks
Terry
