Line connect at z levels

there are preset numbers in the boxes when i open this screen. are these the depths of the cuts? how do they know how deep i want to go??? i basically want to set my depth of cut and height to raise in between cuts after i create my tool path. thats it. whats the easiest way to do that. thanks.

Don't use Connect at Z, it assumes that you have drawn the correct Z depths. Use Contour Tooling if you want to set Z depths and make connections.

i see the z depth on contour tooling but i dont see where to tell it how high to pull up as it moves betweens cuts. thanks

Hmmm...I wonder what that Z connections button could be? That button, right next to the Help button. ;-)

When you click it it has the same dialog as the Connect at Z (Connections with Retractions)
