Could anyone recommend software for cutting about 500 rectangular blanks of various sizes, that would also calculate and lay out the parts for CNC?

I have cabinet parts pro, but can't figure out how to import from excel. Am I missing something with CPP?

Thanks in advance

Can you provide more information on the sizes and number of rectangles for each size.

There is a lot of software that would be suitable for the design work, but the selection of software for automated nesting is more limited.

A manual nesting might be possible, with multiples of that nesting to produce your required number of rectangles.

The blanks vary from 5"x20 to 38"x48". I guess Im looking for nesting software where I could enter the dimensions and have it do automated nesting and if possible the toolpathing.

You could enter all the sizes in an excel sheet, then parse them out to a generic .dxf template. This would give you a dxf for each rectangle. Then a program like Artcam Insignia could pull in all the dxf's and nest them.

Just a thought.

I think this is the program you are looking for.
you can import a list from excel,it will do the optimization for you. i only have version 8 but it looks like version 9 has some dxf out put and some cad integration. it is very reasonable too about $100.00
hope this helps
