HI ART
I HAVE THE EVALUATION VERSION AND REALLY LIKE IT. WILL BE ORDERING SOON. YOU NEED TO GO TO THE OPTIONS MENU AND CHOOSE LIBRARY OF MACHINES. SCROLL DOWN AND FIND THE SHOPBOT. CHECK THE BOX FOR ROTATIONAL AXIS AVAILABLE.I WOULD BE HAPPY TO EMAIL YOU WHAT I HAVE. POSTPROCESSOR ETC.
HOPE THIS HELPS
JOHN

Thanks John,
I agree, really great interface. My issue is with the output format for the sbp. Got the 4th axis enabled and can generate the cutting path, however my output looks something as below.

MS, 1.0, 1.0
M3, -14.90234, -0.50238, 359.38983
M3, -14.90234, -0.50099, 358.77966

Email your postprocessor config if you can, that would give me an example to go with.

BTW: How did you end-up mounting your indexer?

i wrote my own post processor. sound scary but it really is not. if you go to the library of postprocessors select shopbot sbp format make a copy and call it shopbot sbp indexer. now you don't have to worry about messing it up .now edit it and choose the movement tab. for the start command change the M3 to M5 followed by a comma.it seems deskproto does not write any information for the axis that is not moving. the x axis in my case my indexer is mounted parallel to the y axis. by putting the extra comma in shopbot knows it is a zero value. also on the movement tab on the right there is a choice for order. i had to choose yxza.
deskproto's default is to have the indexer parallel to the x axis. on the start/end tab put a ZB command in the start command box (otherwise things go haywire) thats about it for the postprocessor.

Your the MAN John,
Looks like that may work for me. I'm away from the shop now but I'll try it as soon as I return. I will also try and write some instructions for Deskproto after I get it all working with the indexer on the "Y".
Thanks again
