Hey Guys.. Just finished adding legs to the center span of the X rails on the Bot. Due to local availability (and machineablility)I used 2 by 2 Alum tubing for the legs. 1/4" plate for the mounting bracket to the rails and a HD leveler insert and leveler from McM. Since I was there already, I decided to put on the X axis echain, as I have had the parts and have been putting it off for a couple months. Here are a few pics.

Mitch..
This chain comes from McMaster Carr. There are many other brands out there.. Most have a chart that tells you the required length based on the travel and chain radius. This was a 6' (std) length.

Mitch, you can also get it direct from Igus at www.igus.com (http://www.igus.com) I just purchased a set for another local Shopbot. Both axis's cost $210.00 and the legth for a 60X120 table was Y car 52" and the X car is 90"
Here is another post about Echain

I have placed a leg in the center of my table. I started noticing when I was resurfacing that it always removed less in the center. My fix was just some wood and an small machine leveler. works great..... Im just not gonna take a picture cause its a little embassing... lol
