Yes! Can someone help me out on this? The company I work for as purchased the older PRT ShopBot tool back in February of 2001 and we are currently using the DOS based software for it using unit values of X,Y: 183.347 Z: 1466.776
I need to know what the unit values for the Windows version would be so that it operates the tool accurately. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wolfgang,
If you are using the standard 3.6:1 steppers on your tool (says 0.5° step on motor) on all 3 axes, you unit values in SB3 would be:
XY 733.386 with 25 tooth pinion
Z 916.7324 with 20 tooth pinion
------
Hi-Res 7.2:1 option Z-axis motor (says 0.25° step on motor)
Z 1833.4648 with 20 tooth pinion

Gerald posted this (http://www.talkshopbot.com/forum/show.cgi?tpc=7&post=23470#POST23470) comprehensive list some time ago.
This is useful for all, not just those using inches.

When I upgraded my software fromDOS to windows, the folks at shopbot told me to multiply my x and y values by 4 and leave the z values as is.
