Pocketing troubles

In the sketch below I am trying to pocket only the shaded areas. The trouble I am having is that when I select outside vector it pockets the inner portion as well??? Thoughts?? Am I missing the obvious here?

Ron,

Select both the outer vector and the inner design vectors. The program will understand to only pocket between those two boundaries. You may have to select and pocket the "islands" in the "ears" separately. Just use some trial and error with them and use the preview screen before cutting wood.

Another consideration is to be sure you are using a bit that will fit into all the areas you want pocketed.

Ya know that was the first thing I tried and it didn't appear that it worked, but what do you know I tried it again and it seemed to work fine. Thanks!
