I've been importing dxf files into Part Wizard, I also have a demo copy of Insignia. I haven't been able to include any crosshatching or fills. The shape or outline is all that is imported. I've worked with Corel Draw and Delta Cad. Is there a way to include fills or crosshatches in a DXF file that will import into Part Wizard or Insignia? Does Art Cam Pro have a fill feature?

Explode the hatches or fills down to lines before saving the file in your cad program. Part Wizard will then import it fine. Are you going to machine the hatch patterns?

Yes, I'm at the point where I'm experimenting right now. I'm looking for an easy way to create regular patterns in irregular shapes. Is it possible to create custom hatches with CAD programs?

Yes, I think most cad programs allow you to make custom patterns. I know that Turbocad does.
