Can someone nudge me in the right direction? I want to take a .jpg file and cut the outline. Not carving... I just want to cut along the outline and end up with a part.

I have photoshop, Part Wizard does not like the eps files it saves. What would be the simplest method to get the vector data of the outline?

Try www.inkscape.org (http://www.inkscape.org). You can use Inkscape to trace the graphic and save it in an EPS format. It is a free program. I use it all the time. Works great.

I import jpg to cad then outline by hand.

FYI, I did get what I needed done. Inkscape is free and does work much better and faster than running my hand. The outline may need a little tweaking when done but it does work.
