Using aluminum structural framing to build a table

Has anyone used aluminum framing, such as from, http://minitecframing.com/ or http://www13.boschrexroth-us.com/framing_shop, to build a table ?

Aluminum framing appears to be strong enough and it is easy to put together (no welding required) and to modify. It might also be cost effective. Is it ?

You might also consider 80/20 as they sell surplus on ebay. On their main site, they have a deflection calculator and cost estimation.

If you look at the new e-table from shopbot, they are using extrusion for the long rails.

I bought my table from SB with the new alpha. The top pieces of the frame (to which the rails attach) are made of that stuff.

i made one out of 45 mm square tubing and plywood gussets but it flexed when making direction changes.
I have since made a new table out of wood. th shopbot software has gotten better at ramping which might help with the wiggle.
