Probing parts

I am starting to probe some metal parts.
When I save them to dxf polyline I get them to open
in turbocad and my cam program,Rams but they are not recognised as a solid object.
I can run the file in the shop bot converter but I really like the more controlled machining I can get with My cam program.
Is there a way to get the file to be recognised as a solid 3d file for other programs for editing?

Brian,
in about the last 2 (now 3; 3.4.19 is out!) SB3, there is a new VT that allow to readily convert the probed file result into 3D surface; Probe to Surface Translator. Maybe the problem is with RAMS...

I was using a older version, I downloaded the new and converted to dxf surface and it popped right into rams as a solid.
