A couple of years ago when I bought my machine Shopbot was recommending either Vector or Bobcad. Not knowing much about the subject I picked Bobcad.
Bobcad is a pretty good program but it has a bunch of quirks that make it very hard to use. Fer instance - it will hide stuff on a layer that you have blanked out - and that stuff will come back to haunt you as a part of your cutting file. Bobcad also has a REALLY annoying protection scheme.
I see in an earlier message where Botters can get a special price. Is this worth doing? Has anyone used both programs so they can comment on the degree of difficulty between the two.
