Anybody know of a Drill Bit Collet Assembly I can add or attach to my Colombo Spindle so I can use drill bits. Maybe one with a shank with 1/4" or 1/2"

Hey Jamed toe (does it hurt?)!

Have a look at www.beautifuliron.com/jacobs.htm (http://www.beautifuliron.com/jacobs.htm) and www.albrechtchucks.com/index.cfm (http://www.albrechtchucks.com/index.cfm)

...and Google some, you'll find more.

WOW!?!?!? $200+ for a collet?!?!?! I'm going to take my dewalt drill apart.

I like albrechtchucks line of collets

Since you have a spindle...why not just buy a set of collets? There is a range for each collet that will accomodate bit sizes larger or smaller than the collet seat diameter. Then you could just use drill bits or end mills...

PS- Could you please change your name to something a little more appropriate? You've been on here long enough to justify a real username.

Enco (http://www.use-enco.com) has a set of ER-25 collets that covers the entire range from 1/16" to 5/8" for (I think) US$189.

Thanks everyone. I thought I needed to buy a drill collet because of the diameter of the drill bit being used .060, but it fits a metric er25 that I didn't think they made so small.

So far the Enco Collet seems to be the least expensive, from all the ones I researched

Morris,

I have never used the collets. However, I have used KBC extensivly and never gotten a bad product.

Ron...

I've been procrastinating this purchase but I think I'll order all the sizes I don't have. Nearly all of my routing has been with 1/8", 1/4", and 1/2" shanks - but I'd like to try other sizes of milling cutters (and drilling / boring.) These look like they might be worth a try. Thanks!

Glad you posted Ron, I was just about to get a couple and it would have been well over that price.
