Zeroing in the x and y positions

Is it possible to zero your machine using the zero plate on the x and y axis

It would be better to set up proximity switches. Security magnets used on a home security system can be used cost about $10.00 plus some wire. Attach the end with the wires on the x and y cars, then hook up wires to the input #3 in control box. Then align the magnet under the wired part at your table limits. Then run the homing part file.

Have you thought about proxy switches that ShopBot sell.I tried micro switches but in the end I bought the inductive proxy switches from ShopBot. They are totally trouble free.
I have the machine home itself every time I switch it on and reference from there.

I use a modified version of the zzero.sbp file to zero my x and y anywhere I want on the table (such as on a jig or a blank thats held down). I use a piece of aluminum angle thats screwed to a block and then just chuck up a broken off 1/4" bit and run my xyzero.sbp file.

I used grounding plates at the end of the X & Y axis for years. I had no problems.
