I don't have software that can do automatic nesting. I have to cut 10 letters that are approx. 36 inches tall, and want to use as few sheets as possible. I don't need cutting files - I just wondered if anyone could nest the letters to use fewer sheets than I have. File formats I can use would be .ai, .eps, .dxf, .cdr ver. 9 or earlier, or image files like PDF, .gif, .jpg etc.
I can't get it to be fewer than 4 sheets (48x96 inch sheet size). Maybe that's the least it can be?
I'll attach the 4 DXF files I've come up with. My cutting bit is going to be 1/8 inch. If anyone can get the letters to nest on fewer than 4 sheets it would be greatly appreciated.
The letters don't necessarily have to be right side up or "reading side" up. If they fit better with some of them upside down that would be OK also. These are just going to be styrofoam letters for a high school play.
Nest 1
5015 (13.0 k)
Nest 2
5016 (14.1 k)
Nest 3
5017 (4.7 k)
Nest 4
5018 (1.2 k)
