View Full Version : Butting texture up to a sharp line/corner

I've made an 1/8" deep profile cut with a 1/4" bullnose. I want the resulting shape to stand proud of the background which I textured with a 3/4" bullnose, also about 1/8" deep. Anybody have a technique I can use to cleanup the area between the profile outline and the texture so it looks like the texture butts right up to the profile and removes the groove made by the 1/4" bullnose? Thanks.

The only thing I can think of is to cut a pocket and glue in the raised shape. Probably not what you wanted to hear.

Bruce,
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, the raised shape and the background have to be from the same piece of wood.

Here's a pic showing the space between the texture and the profile line I am trying to eliminate, or at least minimize. Hope this helps.
