Hey guys,
Im just starting out with my first 32"Buddy, Getting MDF sheets to start out with seems like the best way to go for me. I havent experimented wth other species of wood except for Pine.
My Question is - Using a 1/8Th" tapered ball nose bit that shopbot/onsrud sells, what would be the ideal Feed rate, plunge rate @ ips and RPM's to get a smooth finish with little bit of sanding without flexing the bit more than it needs to.Whats the fastest feed rate i can use?
I usually cut 3d reliefs on 3/4" MDF with depts of 0.69" +/-. would it be wiser to use a roughing toolpath as i generally do not for 3/4" sheets at the above depth. Would appreciate all the input and am open to advice.
Thanks guys
