Carving "Rope Spindles" as Post

I've had some calls for pillers, post and colums. I now have had a call for a 48" long, 2.5 Dia "Rope" twist carving to be assemble to a bar. While I've been somewhat succesfull in doing all of the above, the "Rope" portion is killing me. Anyone had successes in attempting this using ArtCam 7? (By the way, no indexer, Just 2 halfs glued back to back to make the total diameter.)
