has anyone tried the plastic finishing nails by Raptor? they require a 'special' pneumatic nailer, but may be worth the cost compared to router bits and vacuum clamps.

David Allen,
I tried them with my sears brad nailer. They smashed as they went in. This is due to my nailer though. The nails that I did get to go in broke off very easily, I'm not sure if it was my nailer in this case or the fact that the shear strength of these nails is weaker then steel. It might be necessary to put in quite a few to keep the work piece from pushing loose. When you remove your parts and scrap you have to exert enough side preasure to break the nails off.
