ShopBot pictures

How strong is the "hold" with a Shopvac?

It's amazingly strong. If you grab a corner of the plywood you can peel it up with some effort, but once a sheet is about half on the table you can't slide it around without shutting off the vacuum.

I don't cut all the way through the plywood, leaving a little bit to cut with a utility knife, but that's sort of a pain. If I'm going to cut a lot of one thing I make a template out of 1/8" luaun to block off some of the passages and cut using the tabbing feature; it makes it a lot easier.
