For the guys with Delta VFD's on their spindles.....would you use Durapulse (http://www.durapulse.com/) instead? I am tempted to buy DuraPulse the next time I need one. I think they are out of the same factory in China, but Automationdirect (http://www.durapulse.com/) is trying to re-brand Durapulse as their own?

The manual seems to be identical between the Delta and the Durapulse. (Other spindle users have emailed good reports about the Hitachi VFD SJ100 series.)

Even though the Delta manual is more than 200 pages in length, I wish that each parameter was explained more fully. A VFD can be programmed to do a LOT more than simply spin a spindle at a fixed speed. Maybe some of the more experienced spindle users would like to share parameter changes that they use and the results of those changes.

I'd buy a Durapulse if it were less expensive. Another drive that is a good inexpensive no frills drive is the AC-Tech found here: http://www.wolfautomation.com/Product.aspx?ProductID=10261
They also have Delta's at a reasonable price.
