View Full Version : Custom router bits
Does anyone know of a good source (and quick turnaround) for custom fabricated Router Bits?
I need a very large Core Box as well as a very large Plunge Round Over (both with 1.375" Radius)
FYI,
I have checked with MSC, McMaster, Amana, Onsrud, MLCS White, CMT, Harlauer, Routerbits.com and all other usual suspects for stock items.
Orbittool.com can do, however will take a few weeks.
Thanks,
Brian

You can try them you may find a holder and be able to profile a insert to do what you want.

I use Carbitool you supply the specifications and they produce the bit. They have made several for me over the years and always at a good price and always in quick time. They also have a large range of unusual bits in stock.
try www.carbitool.com.au (http://www.carbitool.com.au)

I have ordered several custom bits from WolfCarbide.com . They have made great bits for me in the past. Very fast lead time and very fair pricing!

I just ordered 3 1/8" x 6" ball nose carbide end mills from this guy. He was very helpful and only charged $18 per bit. Had to get 3 to hit the $50 custom minimum. I told him I'd need it ASAP. We'll see.
