I need to glue up 2 pieces of HDU using screws from the back.
What glue works?
I don't want to use Gorilla Glue because of the expansion foam. I need to find a glue that I can just wipe the excessive off and be done with it.
The 2 part epoxy seems a little overkill.

John - we use West System without the screws. If you don't use an excess amount there is very little to wipe off.
One on top of the other with some gallon paint cans for "clamps".
I don't like Gorilla Glue for the same reason - foaming expansion and everything slides around.

West System epoxy is fine and I've used it for many years, but I prefer gluing unfinished HDU with urethane glue such as Gorilla Glue because it is the same chemical composition as the HDU itself, is fast and easy to apply, cures quickly, and any excess can be easily trimmed with a sharp blade. I don't get much excess or sliding around because I've gotten better at not overdoing the application of glue expecially around the edges. Both are good glues for HDU so it is just a matter of personal preference.
