I do not do much lettering but I have a job that needs some small v-carved letters. The letters need to be around .125 tall and do not have to be painted. This is the tool I was looking at. I just dont know what tool geometry to get. Any help would be great help.

Thanks

I'd start with the 30º tools and see how they look in the simulation.

If you have PartWorks or V-Carve/Aspire you can create engraving tools in the software to simulate what result would look like. The easiest way to do this is to copy an existing engraving tool in the database and change the numbers to match the new tool.

Yeah... Im still on Part Wizard. I was thinking about the 30 but I just wasnt sure. The tool is pretty cheap so I dont think I have to much to worry about. Thanks

I have a 22.5 for really small letters.
