View Full Version : 'Nest to Edge of Sheet'

My spindle bit is centered over 0,0. Ocassionally, when I have a part that I just want to perform the drilling operations on, I select, 'Nest to Edge of Sheet', and 'No Outline Cuts'.

I always end up scrambling at this point, but I believe, in order to get the holes in the right spot, I have to rezero my X and Y axis to (-3.175,-3.175), with 3.175 being the radius of my bit. Is that where my home positon should be in the first place? That's not logical to me, and I'm also not convinced the results are consistant within the files I've run. Anyone??

I don't understand.
Do you have your offsets for the drill incorrect?

The offsets are correct. Any other parts that I cut/drill with the Link come out fine. It's just on the parts that I'm performing just the drilling on.

Nat,
I have never done a "No Outline Cuts".
That might be a bug.
Post it over on the ecabinets forum.

Nat...
ECabs always leaves half a bit diameter at the outside of the parts, plus the collar, if specified. From your description, I dont think your results are what the boys at Thermwood intended. Either post as Roger suggests or sent an email with yur files to TW techs.
