I am carving a cherry plaque for a Marine who is retiring. The text for the "creed" is in a Times New Roman 18 point font. I ran a sample on MDF yesterday which looks beautiful, but took 5 hours!. I am using an Onsrud 37-21 (1/4", 30 degree, single edge) cutter. I am using the default feed rates for a 1/4" 90 degree cutter from the ArtCam Pro tool database. Rates are as follows: Stepover-0.025". Stepdown-0.03". Feed Rate-0.333"/sec. Plunge Rate-0.1667. Would anyone be able to suggest some faster rates for my little cutter?
