I am trying to make my sign borders a little more decorative and have been lookin into using ogee bits on my shopbot. A lot of them I have found to have the guide bearing on the end. Is there any place I can get them relatively cheap without the bearing? I am open to all ideas or suggestions. Other than cutting off the bearing is there a workaround to this?

By combining a few different profiles, you can make an endless numbers of borders...

Shawn, Check out Magnate. They have bits that go to a point and are reasonably priced.

Most all suppliers have what they call "Plunge Bits". Made for a plunge router (I believe), these have no bearings. Do a search for these and you will be able to create pretty much whatever you want. Remember, sometimes using two profile bits you can come up with some awesome profiles.
